Opinions on Advertising are as conflicting as opinions on Religion. Forty per cent of all the people in the world are Buddhists, and are of the Opinion that Buddhism is the only true religion. Twelve per cent of the world?s people being Roman Catholics, are firm in the opinion that the remaining 88 percent are wrong, and sure of damnation accordingly.

Too many CEO’s seem satisfied to spend their money on mere opinions about advertising when they might have invested it on facts about advertising. Perhaps the salesperson was attractive you they got some good sports tickets. These are the Advertisers whose company must fail before they can be convinced that Branding is not enough and that customers have to be given a reason to buy.

They blindly gamble in Advertising when they might have safely invested in it. If they were to buy any other kind of Service, except Advertising, they would demand tangible proof of its efficacy before they spent money on it. If they hired a Salesman, for instance, they would expect him to prove he was earning his salary by making a satisfactory Record on Sales. They would not accept, for long, statements from him that he was? Making a General impression on the Trade? for his salary. Nor would they be satisfied with the statement that he was branding profitably enough to compensate for lack of sales.

Advertising is and should be “Salesmanship-on-paper.” If it is anything less than Salesmanship it is not real Advertising, but only “name recognition.” And, “General Publicity” admittedly claims only to “Brand,” to make sales easier for the salespeople.

Faulty ads make the same lame excuses as would be made by a Salesman who failed to earn his salary by actually selling goods. But branding, or any other Advertising, should be judged by the same standards as the Salesperson is judged, by the products it is clearly proven to sell and the return on investment it generates

Quite common among all women, ovarian cysts usually take the shape of a small, round sac filled with fluid. Women even get ovarian cysts during pregnancy which happens in approximately one out of every thousand pregnancies.

Many ovarian cysts found during the course of a pregnancy are not malignant and it is quite uncommon for a pregnant woman to get ovarian cancer. A medical practitioner will conduct an ultrasound to determine if an ovarian cyst is cancerous or non-cancerous. A benign cyst appears as a fluid-filled sac without any thick walls of septation. Even so, an ultrasound cannot determine if a cyst is malignant with 100 percent accuracy.

Ovarian cysts can become large, even when they are benign, and this leads to special complications during pregnancy. Though large cysts can cause pain whether or not a woman is pregnant, when a large cyst ruptures or twists on itself during pregnancy, there is the possibility of a miscarriage or pre-term labor. A baby may be delivered earlier than usual due to complications with ovarian cysts during pregnancy.

Ovarian cysts generally do not pose a threat to the health of a pregnant woman unless the cyst grows and breaks apart. Even when an ovarian cyst ruptures, infection is unlikely. Pain can result from a rupturing cyst, however. Using pain relievers can lessen the pain and will not interfere with pregnancy. Even with an ovarian cyst during pregnancy, anesthesia can still be used throughout labor. Therefore, ovarian cysts without further issues do not present concerns to pregnancy.

If the cyst becomes too large and causes pain, surgical intervention is necessary. This will not harm the baby or adversely affect the pregnancy, but surgery is more commonly avoided during a pregnancy. It may become medically necessary to remove when the ovarian cyst is larger than 6 to 8 cm, unless spontaneous shrinkage occurs.

Bear in mind that if they are big enough ovarian cysts during pregnancy will probably rupture. Most doctors simply keep an eye on the situation until the second trimester. If warranted and depending on the size, ovarian cysts can be removed either by laparoscopy or open incision.

In short, while ovarian cysts during pregnancy are fairly common, they should be closely monitored throughout the pregnancy. Ovarian cysts are generally no worse for the health of the would-be mother than they would be at any other time.

Invoice factoring is the practice of selling the interest in receivables or invoices to a third-party, or “factor,” at a discount. By factoring receivables a company can leverage the value of its receivables by collecting the funds from the factor well in advance of the payment by its customers. Factoring receivables allows a company to reduce payment turnaround by 30-45 days.

An example of a factoring transaction may occur as follows:

A factoring agent may purchase invoices from a particular company the face value of which is $100,000. Immediately, the factoring company will provide the company with $80,000 or 80% of the value these receivables. The factor then bills the invoices, collects the revenue and then returns between $16,000 - $18,000 to the sourcing company. The cost to the company, then, is approximately 2-4% of the original invoices but the benefit is having cash-in-hand quickly.

Large corporations have been factoring receivables for many years. It is only recently that smaller businesses have had this funding mechanism available. Banks may be reluctant to provide capital to a company without substantial assets. The practice of invoice factoring enables smaller companies to leverage the booked value of receivables without incurring debt.

Factoring receivables allows these companies to convert their accounts receivable into instant cash. Once they have delivered a product or service and generated an approved invoice, they can get their money in as little as 24 hrs. Factoring receivables can help a company stay current with its vendors and meet other financial obligations such as payroll and taxes.

Other types of financing generally require two years in business and showing a profit. Factoring receivables does not have this limitation. Young, growing companies or those with tax liens and even bankruptcy can still qualify for accounts receivable purchasing lines.

A company may be interested in factoring receivables in order to take advantage of opportunities that require immediate cash. Some companies may want to fund some operational expense while others may want to invest in an expansion project that would ordinarily be delayed. No matter what the reason, it is extremely helpful for a company to know that by factoring receivables it is possible to reap the benefits of sales now, rather than later.

During these economic times, business owners that are feeling the cash squeeze may want to consider invoice factoring to convert receivables quickly into sorely needed cash.

There was other news stuff relating to Sara Palin Where The Alaska Supreme Court refused to shut down an ethics investigation despite the GOP lawmakers unsuccessfully suing to block the investigation.This whole situation was called Trooper-gate and is still a big news story.The decision by the Supreme Court paved the way for a potentially embarrassing report on their investigation.

The Dallas Cowboys added yet another star to their roster on Tuesday when they acquired wide receiver Roy Williams from Detroit in exchange for three draft selections.Williams, a 2006 Pro Bowler, has 29 touchdown receptions in 60 career games. In order to get him, the Dallas gave the struggling Lions their first-, third- and sixth-round picks in the 2009 National Football League draft.

These are just a couple of the News events that were happening this last week and in the last couple of days.

Chuck Swindoll, the beloved Christian author and pastor, is best known for his teaching on the evangelical doctrine of grace. The Grace Awakening, Dr. Swindoll’s magnum opus on the topic, is embraced worldwide. Many believers do not know, however, that Chuck Swindoll named this book after the famous worldwide revival known as “The Great Awakening.” On the second page of his introduction Dr. Swindoll wrote:

When the eighteenth-and early nineteenth-century revival spread across Great Britain and into America, preached fervently by John Wesley…and a handful of other risk-taking spokesmen for God, it was again grace that led the way… Interestingly, that sweeping movement came to be known as “The Great Awakening.” What I am sensing these days is yet another awakening in the genre of those history-making movements. Perhaps it is best defined as “The Grace Awakening,” a message whose time has come (The Grace Awakening, p. xiv, xv).

By aligning The Grace Awakening with John Wesley and The Great Awakening Dr. Swindoll surely buttresses the message of his book. Some may view this alignment as a bit inflated, but such doctrinal consistency is striking-if it is true.

Though John Wesley has written volumes Chuck Swindoll offers not a single quote to substantiate his supposed harmony with Wesley. Why? Because John Wesley never taught the biblical themes of grace or freedom in Christ as Chuck Swindoll does.

The Grace Awakening, says Dr. Swindoll, is his attempt at spotlighting the “full extent of grace” (The Grace Awakening p. xv). Certainly there is nothing wrong with such an emphasis depending the meaning assigned to the word “grace.” Throughout his book Chuck Swindoll insists that “grace” means that human “works” (of any kind or degree) never impact final salvation. The following are but a sample from Chuck Swindoll on grace and it’s relation to saving faith:

In other words, salvation is not by faith alone… [ellipsis in original] it requires works. Human achievement must accompany sincere faith before you can be certain of your salvation. We continue to hear that “different gospel” to this day and it is a lie. It is heresy (The Grace Awakening).

Regardless of how you choose to live, you can’t live so bad that God says to you, ‘you’re no longer mine (Shedding Light on Our Dark Side, audiotape sld 1a).

To say that John Wesley never taught anything close to what Swindoll believes to be a sound understanding of grace and saving faith would be an understatement. Yet, Chuck Swindoll bolsters his teaching in The Grace Awakening by dropping John Wesley’s name. Now, either Dr. Swindoll has never read Wesley or he is purposely misusing his good name-you decide. Here is but a sample from John Wesley whom Dr. Swindoll dubs a “risk-taking spokesman for God:”

I testify unto you, that if you still continue in sin, Christ shall profit you nothing; that Christ is no saviour to you, unless he saves you from your sins; and that unless it purify your heart, faith shall profit you nothing. O when will ye understand, that to oppose either inward or outward holiness, under colour of exalting Christ, is directly to act the part of Judas (A Blow At The Root p.4).

They are not Christians. Christians are holy; these are unholy: Christians love God; these love the world. Consequently, they are no more Christians, than they are archangels. Yet they imagine themselves to be (Sermon: The Nature of Enthusiasm).

Swindoll believes that it is heresy and a lie to teach that good works must accompany saving faith. John Wesley, however, plainly asserts this very heresy and lie. Still, Swindoll uses Wesley to establish his mistaken notions leaving the inexperienced reader with the idea that The Grace Awakening and The Great Awakening are built on the same doctrinal foundation-which they are not. Chuck Swindoll is free to teach grace any way he so desires, but to do so in the good name of John Wesley or The Great Awakening is dishonest.
